Have you claimed your £500 of free training?
In August 2008, the government announced that it is investing £30 million each year for the next three years for senior managers in companies to undertake leadership and management training. The Government is giving ALL companies £500 (ex VAT) of training for any leadership and management courses.
To qualify for the courses you have to meet the following criteria:
• The company be based in London
• Employ between 5-250 people
• Not have previously claimed funding from any Train to Gain Leadership & Management programme
• The course you are attending must be able to help your business strategically and the person attending must be a director or a person who will be making strategic decisions for the company.
• The person attending the course must be an EU resident or have lived in an EU country for the last 3 years
Please note you do NOT have to match fund this money. It is a government grant which does not have to be repaid. The government does not repay the VAT on the cost of the course but you can reclaim this in your VAT return if you are VAT registered.
